was, kwam Melchizedek hem tegemoet.
spreekt de volgende zegen over Abraham uit;
(Gezegend zij Abram door God , de allerhoogste ,
schepper van hemel en aarde.
Gezegend zij God , de allerhoogste. Uw vijanden

was. Hij is de auteur van 16 boeken die
gecanneld zijn door Alice Bailey
gedurende de periode van 1919 t/m 1949.
Vorige incarnaties; Confucius en een
tibetaanse lama die in het himalaya
gebergte leefde en 1 van de drie wijzen
uit het oosten ten tijden van de
geboorte van Jesus.
In het begin van 1875 onderging hij
zijn vijfde inwijding en ascendeerde.
Hij kan zich materialiseren ,
demateraliseren en ontzichtbaar
verplaatsen.

Maria
Magdalena
Maria Magdalena , de
meest miskende vrouw in onze
geschiedenis , getuige van de
opstanding en hemelvaart van
Jesus , zijn geliefde disipel en
metgezel. Hij noemde haar de
apostel der apostelen , omdat
niemand het licht zo goed
begreep als zij. In de legende
Aurea (13de eeuw) van Jacopo di
Voragine staat dat zij van goede
afkomst was , zelfs van
koninklijk bloed. Maria
Magdalena draagt de naam
Magdalena , wat oorspronkelijk
een fort (magdalum) was. Haar
vader hete Syrus , haar moeder
Eucharia. Zij , haar broer
Lazarus en haar zuster Martha
waren eigenaars van het kasteel
twee mijl van de zee van
Genezareth , alsmede van het
dorp Bethanië bij Jerusalem ,
plus een aanzienlijk deel van de
stad Jerusalem , maar ze hebben
hun bezittingen verdeeld , zodat
Maria Magdalena eigenares was
van het kasteel dat ook in haar
naam voorkomt, terwijl Lazerus
een deel van Jerusalem bezat en
Martha Bethanië. Toen Jesus
stierf hebben ze al hun
bezittingen verkocht en de
opbrengst van de verkoop
afgestaan aan de apostelen. Toen
Jesus in het land preekte kwam
ze door Gods voorzienigheid in
het huis van Simon de melaatse ,
want ze had vernomen dat Jesus
daar zou eten. Omdat ze niet bij
de rechtvaardigen durfde te gaan
zitten , ging ze regelrecht op
Jesus af en ging bij hem zitten.
Simon de farizeeër die ook
aanwezig was zei , als Jesus een
profeet was , zou hij zich niet
laten aanraken door een
zondares. Maar Jesus bestrafde
hem vanwege zijn oppervlakkig
oordeel en vergaf de vrouw al
haar zonden. Dit is Maria
Magdalena aan wie God zoveel
genade heeft geschonken en
zoveel tekens van liefde. Hij
heeft zeven duivels van haar
uitgedreven en haar ontstoken in
liefde tot hem. Hij maakte haar
tot een bijzondere vriendin ,
een fantastische gastvrouw en
een hulp voor onderweg. Hij
pleitte haar ten alle tijden met
grote liefde vrij tegenover de
farizeeër die haar onrein had
genoemd , tegenover haar zuster
, die haar beschuldigde van
nietsdoen en tegen over Judas
die haar een verkwister had
genoemd. En zag hij haar huilen
dan huilde hij ook. Jesus hield
zoveel van haar , dat hij haar
broer opwekte uit de dood ,
hoewel die al vier dagen in het
graf lag en hij genas haar
zuster Martha van
bloedvloeiingen waar ze al zeven
jaar onder leed. Ten tijde van
genade volbracht ze haar eerste
boetedoening. Zij koos het beste
deel , ze zat aan de voeten van
Jesus om zijn woord te horen ,
ze zalfde zijn hoofd , ze stond
bij het kruis toen hij stierf,
ze bereide de zalven voor zijn
lichaam , verliet het graf niet
toen de disipelen het wel
verlieten. Zij was degene aan
wie Jesus als eerste verscheen
toen hij verrezen was. Toen
Jesus gestorven was en ten hemel
was opgestegen , trokken de
disipelen naar vele landen om
het woord Gods te verspreiden.
Bij deze apostelen was Maximus
één van de 72 leerlingen van
Jesus. Toen de leerlingen
verspreid waren , werden Maximus,
Maria Magdalena , haar broer
Lazerus , haar zuster Martha met
haar dienstmaagd Martilla en
Cedonius (die blind was geboren,
maar door Jesus genezen) , door
de heidenen tezamen op een schip
gezet, daarin de oceaan
opgedreven zodat ze allen zouden
omkomen. Door Gods
voorzienigheid echter kwamen ze
aan in Massilia (het huidige
Marseille). Ze vonden niemand
die hen gastvrijheid wilde
verlenen en daarom verbleven ze
in het voorportaal van de
heidense tempel.
Dan vertelt
ons de legenda Aurea hoe Maria
Magdalena een prins ertoe bewoog
hen in zijn huis onderdak te
verlenen, hoe zij het mogelijk
maakte dat de vrouw van de prins
moeder werd van een zoon , hoe
het prinselijk paar een
pelgrimstocht ondernam naar Rome
en Jerusalem , hoe de prinses
stierf op het schip tijdens de
geboorte van haar zoon en hoe de
dode prinses levend aan de prins
werd terug geschonken door de
wonderdadige hulp van Maria
Magdalena.
Volgens de
legende stierf Maria Magdalena
in Aix in zuid frankrijk en werd
aldaar begraven door bisschop
Maximus. Een deel van haar
overblijfselen is overgebracht
naar het franse klooster van
Vézelay, waar de kerk haar naam
draagt.
De legenda
vervolgt; Ten tijde van Karel de
grote , rond 769 was er in
Bourgondië een hertog , genaamd
Gerard. Zijn vrouw schonk hem
geen zoon. Daarom schonk hij al
zijn bezittingen aan de armen en
bouwde vele abdijen en kerken.
Toen hij de grondslag legde voor
de abdij voor Vézelay , zond hij
een monnik met een waardig
gezeldschap naar Aix en gaf hen
de opdracht de relieken van de
heilige Maria Magadalene naar
Vézelay te brengen. De monnik
ontdekte dat Aix volledig was
verwoest door de heidenen. Hij
trof echter een graf aan dat
volledig was opgetrokken uit
marmer en de grafsteen gaf aan
dat Maria Magdalena daar
begraven lag en men kon in feite
haar geschiedenis lezen die in
de steen stond gebeiteld. In die
nacht opende hij het graf , nam
de relieken en bracht ze naar de
plaats waar hij verbleef. Toen
in die zelfde nacht verscheen
hem Maria Magdalena en zei dat
hij niet bang moest zijn maar
het werk moest afmaken waarvoor
hij gekomen was. De monnik trok
daarna weer huiswaarts , maar
één mijl voordat hij de abdij
had bereikt , leken de relieken
zo zwaar te worden ,dat hij ze
niet langer kon dragen. Toen
kwamen de ambt en de monniken en
zij droegen de relieken van
Maria Magdalena met groot
eerbetoon in plechtige processie
naar hun domicillie.
Volgens de
legenda ging de verering van de
heilige Maria Magdalena in de
franse abdij in Vézelay gepaard
met veel wonderen. Men zegt dat
zij een dode ridder tot leven
heeft gewekt , de zeelieden
heeft geholpen , het
gezichtsvermogen terug heeft
gegeven aan een blinde man die
voor de kerk om haar hulp had
gesmeekt. Men zegt dat zij een
gevangene heeft verlost van zijn
ketenen en aan een zondige
priester de weg naar de deugd
heeft gewezen. Geen wonder dan
dat een heilige die zo vereerd
wordt de patrones werd van vele
mensen en plaatsen. De steden
van Frankrijk in het bijzonder,
zoals Autun ,Marseille en
Vézelay beschouwen haar als hun
patroon heilige. In feite eert
de hele provance haar als
zodanig.

taste the sweetness of life and the truth of themselves. Troubles they
knew, no less than we. Impatience, frustration, and failure. But step by
step, they climbed into mastery -- into victory! They walk with us now and
help us follow the path of our heart.
These powerful and sacred prints are a wonderful addition to every
environment, bringing peace, beauty and inspiration. AMI distributes high
quality prints of all images shown. The 5 x 7 pictures are laminated in

Milarepa (MR)
Milarepa (1040 - 1123) is Tibets most famous and beloved poet-saint. His
intense determination and perseverance under the torturous guidance of
his Tibetan guru Marpa, and his spontaneous outpouring of a hundred
thousand songs, serve as a most poignant inspiration of Spiritueel
endeavor. Here he sits upon a black antelope skin in his meditation cave
on the eastern side of Mt. Kailash. He wears the single white cotton
robe of a Tibetan yogi, symbolizing his attainment of the yogic practice
of inner heat. With his right hand he cups his ear in the gesture of
singing, and with his left hand resting upon his lap in meditation
gesture he holds a skull cup of nectar. Hanging from the roof of his
cave is a small bundle of provisions and a scroll of emergency
instructions that Marpa gave him for a future time of dire necessity. In
the background of his cave is a boiling clay pot of nettle soup, and in
the bottom corners grow the nettles, which for many years served as his
only sustenance.
